How to Submit a Video for Analysis

Any RunDNA assessment that analyzes your running form uses video. This article walks you through submitting your videos so they upload correctly the first time.

What you need

Every video assessment needs two videos:

  • One filmed from the side
  • One filmed from behind

Accepted files are .mp4 or .mov, up to 100 MB each. The app checks the file type and size when you add a video.

Submit your videos

  1. Start or open a video assessment from the + New button on the Labs screen or the View All Assessments screen.
  2. Add your side video and your behind video. You can follow the in-app video guide while you do this.
  3. Let each video upload. The two videos upload separately, so one can finish while the other is still going.
  4. If you need to step away, you can pause an upload and resume it later.
  5. Once both videos have uploaded, finish submitting your assessment.

If an upload fails

If a video shows an error, tap the retry button on that video to try again. The app does not retry on its own. For more help, see Troubleshooting Video Upload Issues.
