Why Do You Need My Height and Weight?

When you set things up, RunDNA asks for your height and weight. It's fair to wonder why — here's the plain answer.

They make your analysis accurate for your body

Everyone's body is different, and your running-form analysis needs to reflect yours. Your height and weight help make that analysis accurate for you specifically. They're recorded alongside your run video, so the insights you get are grounded in your real proportions rather than a generic average. In other words, these details help the app read your form correctly and give you guidance that actually fits you.

Your privacy matters

Your height and weight are personal information, and RunDNA treats them that way. They're used to support your analysis and personalize your experience — nothing more. If you'd like to understand exactly how your information is handled and protected, read Your Data & Privacy.

Keeping them current

If your height or weight changes over time, it's worth updating them so your analysis stays accurate. Fresh, correct details lead to the most useful results, but these are not absolutely critical metrics, if you are only able to provide ballpark metrics, that's fine too.
